Paneled Hard Wood Door Designs
There are four kinds of paneled hardwood door designs like:
• Panel Door
• Solid Core Door
• Hollow Metal Insulated Door Design
• Hollow Core Wood Door
Panel Door-These doors entail wooden panels or boards fixed onto a frame surrounded by wooden railings and stiles. Panels can be made from solid wood or plywood. Panel Door may consist of six to eight wooden panels, but it may be increased as per the requirement. Panels can be made from plywood, solid timber or glass of different designs and thickness.
Single Panel Door– The framing of a single panel door consists of two stilts in a vertical way one at a top and other at a bottom rail all of them have similar thickness.
Double panel doors- These doors consist of two wooden panels with one more middle rail or stile that divides the frame into two parts.
Triple Panel Doors– These doors consist of three wooden panels with two or more middle rail or stile that divides the frame into two parts.
Door with six panels– These doors consist of six wooden panels with four middle rail or stile that divides the frame into six parts.
Double leaf door with six panels-It consists of two frames with three different panels for each frame.
Partly paneled and partly glazed door- It entails glass panels, along with wooden panels. The wooden panels are held in place by use of fixed moldings.
Solid Core Door– This door consists of solid lumber core, compressed with wooden fibre core or rigid foam board laminated on plywood.
Hollow Metal Insulated Door-These doors consist of welded sheet metal, mineral or cement board that is fire resistant or can be usually used at a core.
Hollow Core Wooden Door– These kind of door is made from plywood or a press board and a honeycomb wood. Hollow core wooden doors are specifically for interior decoration only.
